HURON – Neil F. Weilnau, 94, of Huron, passed away Monday, January 6, 2020 at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.
He was born Oct 11, 1925 in Milan and was a lifelong resident of Milan and Huron. He graduated from Milan High School.
He enjoyed participating and watching sports and being a member of various teams, including, Schlessman Seed’s Men’s Softball Team. He spent much time at the Huron Library picking out and reading his favorite authors. He loved traveling, especially camping, with his local Coachman Chapter 3 camping club.
With all his accomplishments and love in his life with his family and friends, his #1 passion was farming. He loved the land and worked for Schlessman Seed Company for 70 years.
He is survived by his two daughters, Ellen (Jeffrey Burrow) Weilnau of Sandusky and Dana (Tim Sandy) Weilnau of Sandusky; one nephew, and three nieces.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Weilnau in 2002; his parents, August and Edna (Heckleman) Weilnau; a brother, Loren Weilnau; and one nephew.
Private family services and burial will be held at Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
