Jocelyn M Maurushat

HURON – Jocelyn Maurushat, 94, formerly of Huron, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019 at Kendal of Oberlin Nursing Facility in Oberlin after an extended illness.

   She was born in New Jersey and had been a resident of Huron since 1966.  She was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Huron and had been a teacher in public schools in New Jersey and Ohio.

   She is survived by two nephews and a niece.

   She is preceded in death by her husband, Ewalt Maurushat in 2006; her parents, Thomas E. and Mable S. Maddams, and a sister, Constance Tegen.

   A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 10, 2019 at 10:30 A.M. at the Zion Lutheran Church, 930 So Main Street, Huron, with Rev. Kristine Schroeder, officiating.

   A private family committal service will be held at Scott Cemetery, Huron.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, Huron or a favorite charity.
