Joanne Overson

HURON – Joanne Overson, 69, of Huron, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky, after a brief illness.

   She was born Dec 2, 1949 in Sandusky and was a lifelong resident of Huron.  She graduated from Huron High School in 1968.  She worked for Vulcan Materials, Sandusky, now Thakar Aluminum Corp. for 30 years retiring in 2010.

   She was a member of the United Methodist Church, Huron.  She was a lover of Cats, and a second mother to all her family.

   She is survived by her fiancée, Morgan Stout of Huron; two sisters, Ella (Robert) Wilheim of Huron and Andrea (Larry) Kacala of Canton, MI; and several nieces, nephews, and great, nieces and nephews.

   She is preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ilaine (King) Overson; and brothers, Tom and Mike Holland.

   Friends may call Friday, May 3rd from 10:30 a.m. until time of service, 11 a.m. at Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron, with Chaplain Mel Sayler, officiating.

   Cremation has taken place and burial will be at Scott Cemetery, Huron, at a later date.
