JoEllen Nickelson

SANDUSKY - JoEllen Nickelson, 55, of Sandusky, passed away Thursday, August 1, 2019, in Toledo, after battling a multitude of health issues beginning with Crohn’s Disease 25 years ago.

   She was born December 29, 1963 in Bucyrus, OH.  She spent her early years in Tiffin, attending Tiffin City Schools and moved to Sandusky in 1991.  She worked at Admiral’s Pointe Nursing Home, (Huron Health Care) and at Blimpies Subs.  JoEllen enjoyed listening to 70’s and 80’s music, doing word puzzles, watching WWE Wrestling and Law & Order.  She loved buying shoes.

   She is survived by her daughters, Erica and Amanda; grandchildren, Tashya, Sonny, and Gianna Nickelson; brother, Steve Terry; nephew, Dan (Meghan) Beidelschies, and a host of cousins and good friend, Ida Matthews.

   She is preceded in death by her father, Donald E. in 2003 and mother, Gloria L. Nickelson in 2014; a nephew, Jim Beidelschies in 2014 and sister in law, Judy Terry in April of 2019.

   JoEllen was a kind hearted, sentimental soul and she will be missed.

  At her request, cremation has taken place.  A Celebration of Life will take place October 5th from 3 to 7 p.m. at 522 Wilder Ave, Huron.
