Janice Wesley Smith

SANDUSKY – Janice Wesley Smith, 89, formerly of Sandusky, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at Norwalk Memorial Home, Norwalk.

   She was born June 6, 1929 in Inman, VA.  She worked for a short time at New Departure, Sandusky.

   She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sandusky and was  involved with Dorcas Circle of the church.  She enjoyed quilting, painting, knitting, crocheting, and her grandchildren.

   She is survived by her daughter, Elaine (Dan) Shupe of Milan; two grandchildren, Brian (Casi) Shupe and Andy (Jen) Shupe; four great-grandchildren, Wesley, Colin, Ted, and June Shupe; two sisters, Lucille Payne of Port Charlotte, FL, and Doris Rasnick of Huron; a brother, Winfield Bledsoe of Huron; and a special niece, Linda Chaffin.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Hugh J. Smith; her son, H.J. Smith Jr; parents Lloyd and Sadie (Taylor) Bledsoe; a brother, Donald Bledsoe; one niece and three nephews.

   Friends may call Friday from 10 until time of service at 11 a.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main St, Huron with Pastor Josh Arrington officiating.

   Burial will be in Meadow Green Memorial Park, Huron.
