HURON – Janet Elaine Koehler, 66, of Huron, passed away at her home in Huron, with her family around her, on Friday, July 5, 2019.
She was born January 25, 1953 in Sandusky and graduated from Huron High School in 1971. She completed her training from the Providence School of Nursing. She worked as an LPN for 23 years the last several years at the Erie County Care Facility, Huron.
She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron. She was a super avid reader and enjoyed sewing, crocheting, gardening, and cooking. She loved her animals and loved her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Gregory A. Koehler of Huron; 3 daughters, Amy Koehler of Huron, Natalie Koehler of Port Clinton, and Stephanie (Brian) Bonner of Lakeside-Marblehead; 5 granddaughters, Kayla, Maggie, Zoe, Breanna, and Sarah; a brother, Robert Palinski of Austintown, OH; and her mother and step-father, Lois and Eugene Palinski of Huron.
She is preceded in death by her brother, Mark Palinski and daughter, Elizabeth.
Friends may call Thursday, July 11th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron. Funeral Mass will be held Friday, July 12th at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 430 Main Street, Huron, with Rev. Jeffrey McBeth officiating.
Cremation will take place and burial will be in Scott Cemetery, Huron, at a later date.
