HURON — James A Boos, 75, of Huron, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 3, 2019, in Firelands Regional Medical Center in Sandusky.
Born in 1943 to Frederick and Virginia (Farschman) Boos, Jim, a lifetime Huron resident, was a standout high school and college football player, who set many local and state records, before earning his engineering degree and working for Ford Motor Corporation.
Jim was known to others for his love of adventure, fast cars and Ohio State athletics. He had a passion for boating and could often be found on the waters of Lake Erie. Jim spent many years as a member of the local Masonic Lodge and volunteer fire department, however most will remember his love and dedication to his two pet schnauzers, Jack and JJ, who were steadfastly by his side.
Jim is survived by his two children, Michael Boos (Valerie) of Winter Park, Fla., and Tracy Boos (Mark) Fletcher of Atlanta; three grandchildren, Jack, Madeleine and Carson; and brother, David Boos, also of Huron.
A Celebration of life will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, Sept. 6, at Harbour House in Huron. All friends are welcome.
