Heather M. Schmidt

HURON – Heather Marie Schmidt, 44, of Huron, passed away at her residence in Huron Tuesday, June 4, 2019.

   She was born April 30, 1975 in Elgin, IL and has lived in Huron for the past 16 years.  She graduated from Larkin High School in Elgin in 1992.  She has been employed by Western & Southern Life Insurance Company, Sandusky, as a Financial Planner.

   She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Huron, the Huron Eagles, and the Huron Band Parents.  She enjoyed painting as a hobby.

   She is survived by her two sons, August Beckman, currently stationed on the USS Roosevelt in San Diego, CA, and Nash Leeland of Huron; her mother, Diane (Richard) Overbeek of Hernando Bch, FL; and a brother, Jeffrey (Lisa) Schmidt of Crystal Lake, IL.

   She is preceded in death by her father, William Schmidt and son Dakota Leeland.

   Friends may call Friday, June 14th from 11 until time of service 2 p.m. at The Chapel, 4444 Galloway Rd, Sandusky.  Dan Bronars will officiate.

   Memorial contributions may be made to the family for Nash’s College Education.
