Grace H. Moore

SANDUSKY - Grace H. Moore, 85, went peacefully home on Thursday, January 31, 2019.  She was born on July 28, 1933, in Honesdale, Pennsylvania.  Formerly of Toledo, Ohio, Grace had recently moved to Sandusky to be closer to her family.

   A graduate of Bloomsburg State University, she was a former elementary school teacher, most recently teaching kindergarten at Toddler Tech in Toledo, Ohio, a job she loved.  

   She was a member of St. Michael’s in the Hills Episcopal Church, Ottawa Hills, Ohio, where she sang in the choir and enjoyed many other volunteer activities. She was also a facilitator for the Today and Beyond Grief Support Group.

   She is survived by her son, Steve Moore of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, daughter, Carolyn Wiseman (Dr. Terry) of Huron, Ohio; seven grandchildren:  Michael (Carly) Moore, Lauren Moore, Emily Solinger, Abby Wiseman, Will Wiseman, Danny Wiseman and Brian Wiseman.  She is also survived by her nephews Eddie and Jimmy Histed, and niece Barbie Eldred.

   She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Moore in 1995; her daughter, Sarah Lynne (Sally) Moore in 1994; and her brother, Robert Histed.

   A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 23rd at 2:00 PM at St. Michael’s in the Hills Episcopal Church, 4718 Brittany Road, Ottawa Hills, Ohio 43615. The Rev. John Hagan will officiate.
