HURON – Freddie Lee King Hensley, 86, of Huron, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019, surrounded by her family at Firelands Regional Medical Center, Sandusky.
Freddie came into this world on August 28th, 1932 in Sardis, Mississippi. She was a devoted daughter and loving sister to her 6 siblings. She married James Alvin Hensley November 8, 1952 and they raised 5 children, 4 daughters and 1 son. Freddie was a committed wife and caregiver. She was a dedicated friend, strong-willed and extremely passionate about life.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and had a strong faith in the Lord. Her life was an example to her family and those she knew, instilling strong values of belief in our Heavenly Father, education, and character.
She leaves behind a legacy of 5 children, Sharon Wlodarsky, Donna Hensley, Mary Katz, Charles Hensley and Nancy Dennison; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Alvin Hensley, July 7th, 2006; parents, Charles Eugene King, and Grace Atkinson King; and her siblings, Charles, Ruby, Robert, Martha, Harold and George.
Friends may call Tuesday, July 23rd from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home and Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 24th at 10:30 a.m. at Meadow Green Memorial Park Chapel Mausoleum, Huron.
