Donna Jean (Ryan) Rasnick

HURON - Donna Jean (Ryan) Rasnick, 84, of Huron, passed away peacefully Monday, August 26, 2019, from an extended illness, surrounded by family at Stein Hospice, Sandusky.

   She was born in Sandusky, on June 1, 1935 and was a lifelong resident of the area. 

   Donna was a graduate of Margaretta High School and worked 40 years at Pick n Pay in Sandusky.  She was a member of A Fresh Wind Church in Amherst and enjoyed bowling in several leagues in her younger years.  She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and loved working outdoors in her flower beds.

   She is survived by her daughters, Carol (Richard) Rinella of Huron and Jana Jenkins of Huron; sons, Kim (Voni) Rasnick of Huron and Dennis (Lisa) Rasnick of Huron; nine grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Rasnick in 2006; her parents Charles and Doris (Rice) Ryan; her sister, Carol Ryan; a brother Richard Ryan; and son-in-law, Richard “Junkie” Jenkins.

   Visitation will be held Friday, September 6th from 4 to 8 p.m. at A Fresh Wind Church, located at 1115 Milan Ave, Amherst, OH, 44001 with services Saturday, Sept 7th at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Holt officiating.  A private family burial will take place at Milan Cemetery, Milan, at a later date.
