Cynthia Bucher Obituary

Huron- Cynthia A. (Hillis) Bucher, of Huron, passed away unexpectedly Friday March 1, 2019 at her residence.

She was born February 5, 1949 in Sandusky, Ohio to John “Jack” and Phyllis (Hodgson) Hillis.

Cynthia, also known as “Grandma C”, was a Huron High School graduate. She and her family owned and operated The Twine House. Cindy also sold office furniture for many years. She was an avid sports fan who especially loved Cleveland teams and The Ohio State Buckeyes. Cindy could make friends anywhere she went, she had a personality that was even bigger than her hair. She will be loved and missed dearly by those who were lucky enough to have known her.

She is survived by her son, Mark (Colleen) Melching of Mentor, two grandchildren Brandy and Brian Melching of Huron, brother John (Mylene) S. Hillis, two nephews, and her loving dog Gabi.

She is preceded in death by her husband, William Bucher, and parents.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 6th from 4-7pm at Foster Funeral Home located at 410 Main St in Huron, OH.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks all memorial contributions to be made to American Heart Association or the American Diabetic Association.
