HURON – Patricia L. (Bechtol) Kelly, 87, of Huron, died Monday, March 19, 2012 at Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky.

   She was born in Garrett, Indiana and has been a resident of Huron since 1963 coming from MI.  She received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Ball State in 1946.  She taught school in Muncie IN for 8 yrs and then 4 years in Ypsilanti, MI and then taught for Huron City Schools from 1967 until retiring in 1988.

   She was a member of the Huron Study Club and the Erie County Retired Teachers.  She enjoyed knitting and sewing as a hobby.

   She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Kelly of Athens, OH; a son, Scott (Gabrielle) Kelly of Huntsville, Utah; a grandson, Sean Kelly; and 2 nieces, Sarah and Rachel. 

   She is preceded in death by her husband, Roger W. Kelly in 2003; parents, F. Dean and Nell (Patterson) Bech

tol; and a sister, Barbara Mello.

   Friends may call Thursday from 3-5 p.m. at the Foster Funeral Home & Crematory, 410 Main Street, Huron.  Graveside committal services will be Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Scott Cemetery, Huron Avery Rd, Huron with Rev. David Aber, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church, Huron, officiating.
